The Northwest Free-thought Alliance Conference 2012

The NFA Conference 2012 will be held at the Renton Technical College in Renton, Washington, from Friday, March 30th through Sunday, April 1st. As we did last year, the Conference will start with a no-host reception on Friday evening, and end around noon on Sunday to give travellers enough time to get home and ready for their coming week.
The big news is that Richard Dawkins and Sean Faircloth will be keynote speakers for the conference. The details of the other presentations and workshops are still developing, and will be posted here as soon as they are finalized.

Christopher Hitchens passed away this evening at the age of 62 in Texas from complications of esophageal cancer after a long illness. Hitchens was a journalist, firebrand and icon for Freethinkers, Atheists, and all those who value and embrace reason. Known for his exceptional ability to analyze and deconstruct the modern mythologies that strangle human progress, and for his formidable debating prowess, he leaves behind an invaluable body of work -- and shoes that will be impossible to fill. We will miss him indeed.

We posted all the workshops (see Schedule), but the times aren't quite final yet.
We are also trying to identify all the local groups.
